An Edison, N.J., staffing and consulting firm will pay over $345,000 to settle U.S. Justice Department allegations that it underpaid H-1B workers in violation of federal immigration and employment regulations.
A Department of Labor investigation revealed that from January 2014 through June 2018, Savantis Solutions LLC, formerly known as Vedicsoft Solutions LLC and Vedicsoft Holdings LLC, failed to properly compensate many of its workers on the high-skilled, specialty occupation visas by not paying the required wage in regular intervals throughout their employment.
