One has to love the way the media uses labels and keywords to demonize anyone who opposes their illegal open borders agenda.
“Restrictive”, “vindictive”, and “manic”, “barbaric” are some of the manipulative keywords used in this article:
There is nothing “vindictive” about enorcing US immigration law such as Title 8.
Other nations such as China and India have the same “barbaric” closed border laws. In China and India border jumpers are shot on sight and their families billed for the the bullet. How’s that for “vindictive”?
No mention of those policies in the article.
First of all, it is illegal for any foreign worker to work in the US if their doing so adversely affects an American similarly employed. Period.
Even if they are less skilled.
That’s right. Go read Title 8, Section 1182 Inadmissible Aliens, Subsection 5.
Let’s counteract the lies in this article.
“Miller noted that the White House is “systematically reviewing all authorities that are already on the books, both in terms of cracking down on illegal immigration and […] the abuse of our legal immigration system.” The targeted abuse actions include illegal immigrants who overstay temporary visas, “combatting or addressing legal benefit seeking in the legal immigration system.” (Emphasis added)
How is enforcing “temporary” visa laws barbaric? Does the author want temporary workers to stay forever? They’re either temporary and can be sent back or they’re not.
And here’s what Kushner wants to do, per Politico’s reporting:
Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser, has been working for months on a proposal that could increase the number of low- and high-skilled workers admitted to the country annually, four people involved in the discussions told POLITICO.
Does Kushner know that with real unemployment still near Great Depression levels that that’s illegal under Title 8. It is completely illegal to admit any foreign worker to the US if Americans are unemployed.
Kusher wants to violate US law.
“The low-profile effort to allow more legal immigrants into the U.S. cuts a stark contrast to Trump’s increasingly dramatic efforts to curb illegal immigration, an issue he speaks about daily and describes as a national crisis. But Trump himself has publicly said he also supports higher levels of legal immigration, a priority generally supported by a business community short on skilled workers.”. (Emphasis added)
Ah ha! The “business community”. i.e. – the illegal wage-fixing Chamber of Commerce – the biggest lobby in DC. The Chamber reglarly engages in lobying for more cheap labor open borders in order to manipulate the labor supply to drive down wages.
Wage-fixing is a Federal crime under US law, but the Chamber gets away with it, with impunity.
And there is no shortage of skilled workers, only a shortage of skilled workers who want to work for $1.21/hr as Electronics for Imaging got away with:
Mr. Donahue knows how to pull all the right strings in DC to get the “business community” all the cheap labor it wants:
All of this, of course is not only illegal, but criminal under US law.
