How the US gov’t can counter China’s growing media influence

Not just China, India too. India’s lobbying orgs – NASSCOM, USIN-PAC, rhcusa.com, and Immigration Voice all buy PR in US media.

That’s right you read that correctly: “Chinese pressure on U.S. cable companies to keep it off the air”.

In the US.

Foreign control of media in the US.

Japan for example has a law that no more than 5% of its media can be owned or even controlled by foreign powers.

Why doesn’t the US have similar laws?

Why do we allow foreign powers to yank our media around to their advantage on their whims?

Stand up + defend the republic.

“And Chinese state broadcaster China Central Television (CCTV) dominates the Chinese-language cable landscape in the United States, relative to the Taiwanese station ETTV and the US-based NTDTV, despite the latter’s online popularity and reports of behind-the-scenes Chinese pressure on U.S. cable companies to keep it off the air”.

We must end foreign lobbying now.
