U.S. Tech Workers was on the Hill this week

U.S. Tech Workers was on the Hill this week visiting all of the Senate offices and working to stop S 386, the misnamed Fairness for High-Skilled Immigrants Act of 2019.

We’ve urged Senate members to VOTE NO on S 386. We’ve emphasized that the H-1B visa has displaced hundreds of thousands of U.S. tech and other workers, and that many more Americans still work under the daily threat that, because of the H-1B visa, they could be terminated at any time.

At the same time, we’ve been running a campaign in Washington, D.C., targeting legislators, aids and staff that calls on our legislators to fix the broken H-1B program.

Since the House version of S 386 passed in the House last week, we know many of you have gone above & beyond making calls and sending emails to the Senate. Thank you!

Only through a combined effort, speaking with One Voice, can we make any headway on these issues. As you all know, the opposition is well-funded by many powerful corporate interests.

Let’s keep up the momentum. Keep commenting on the Facebook pages of senators, and tweet to them, or reply to them on related tweets, too.

It ain’t over until the fat lady sings!

NO on S 386!”
