Mac sales are down 21% year on year.
It’s no wonder. macOS is turning into garbage since Apple was flooded with H-1B workers from India starting in 2012.
Definitely not the smartest people in the world and defineitely not contributing to the US economy.
Just as with Boeing, Lehman, and others before, Apple is being destroyed by India Inc invasion.
macOS, which used to work nearly flawlessly, and which was why people were willing to pay a premium for Apple products, is now buggy, crappy, and garbage.
Disk corruption, permissions errors, file and drives mysteriously locking or disappearing for no reason, UI screwups, and a completely ruined recovery firmware restore are turning macOS into a pile of garbage.
The firmware restore in particular is really messed up: missing drive icons with multiple drives, an invisible WiFi icon in the menu bar, which used to work flawlessly, now doesn’t even show up until you click on it in the far right corner, and even then it is out of place. Even the online help says/shows it in a different spot than it actually is. Without a network connection, the restore feature doesn’t work at all – and most users aren’t going to click around to see if the network icon is there. And other than the icon in the menubar, there’s no other way to set a network connection after recovery boot.
The Disk Utility app, which also used to work nearly perfectly is full of bugs and errors now – even for simple stuff like merely trying to format a drive.
All of this points to crappy, garbage coding by the 1000’s of H-1Bs who flooded the company.
Another once-great American icon ruined by India.
Of course Apple has so much cash that it will take a while for it to die, but it will eventually. At the current rate of Mac sales drop, the company will be unable to sell any Macs at all within 4 years. Of course iOS is now Apple’s bread and butter, but it’s shame to see such a great platform go to hell.
Thanks, India.

Well, that’s real helpful……

Nice cut off UI, there, Apple.
