Years ago India Inc announced it would be improving airline efficiency and allowing airlines to cut costs by outsourcing.
The first of these deals was with ComAir – a small US airline which shipped its entire IT operations to India Incs.
That Christmas (2005) a ComAir system taken over by India caused a massive US-wide airport logjam when genius Indian programmers used a short int instead of a long int in air crew scheduling software it took over.
Most other airlines followed suit in outsourcing to India Incs.
A decade and a half later air travel and airports have turned into a complete disaster.
The article blames it on the virus and shortage of workers + rental cars, but they can’t explain away the baggage disaster. Baggage handing and logistics is now completely unreliable, now including even this little tidbit:
“Many travelers are putting tracking devices on their luggage—but that doesn’t always help. Even if the tracker reveals the bag’s location, some passengers are reporting that airlines are telling them to travel to distant cities to retrieve their bags”.
Did you hear that:
“travel to distant cities to retrieve their bags”.
Ask yourself how could this possibly happen. 25 years ago and before, western airport systems ran like a fine watch – lost luggage was a rarity, 1000s of flights departed and arrived on time, and delays were also rare.
Then India Inc got involved – promising “better, faster, cheaper” to a system which already worked at near perfect efficiency.
Now air travel is a complete nightmare.
India cannot even pick up its own trash or build enough toilets – yet the delusional nation continues to force itself on already-successful countries.
Outsourcing to India Inc is a total disaster and the kiss of death for any business.
First IT, then healthcare, now airlines – one industry after another gets invaded, trashed, and wrecked by these delusional losers.
How much longer will the west continue to commit civilizational suicide?
