Probably – given that India Incs now run all the software.
Not unrealistic scheduling – but broken, unrealistic scheduling software, all written by India Inc.
They caused the same nightmare on Christmas 2007 when ComAir‘s 100% Indian staffing IT division used a short int when they should have used a long int for crew scheduling assignments.
Highly skilled and talented.
Better, faster, cheaper – the India Inc way.
“How is short int (or short) and int different in C? They have the same size and range. If they are essentially the same, what is the use of having two data types?”

Well, genius, using “short int” always insures the C compiler forces the variable to be of a certain size, where merely using “int” causes the C compiler to use the default size for the given platform.
They may have the same size and range, but not necessarily.
You did read the C language programming book, didn’t you?
But then again, what do we know – you’re the ones who are highly skilled and talented and “America does not have the talent”, as Azim Premji informed us on CNBC TV years ago.
This is why these disasters happen folks – we’re bringing in IQ85 moron parasites from India who don’t even know how to program or even what programming languages do – let alone be able to write something as complex as a scheduling system for an airline.
